The Best Mascaras (Drugstore/High-end)

What do you do to make your eyelashes look long and voluminous? Have you found the perfect mascara or are you still searching for the right one? Many people settle on using fake eyelashes, which can be a hassle and can take a bit of time to apply. Other people have mainly given up out of complete frustration. Don't be one of those people. You can easily find the perfect mascara at a high end store such as Sephora, Mac, or Clinique, or you can find one at a drugstore such as Walgreens or Rite-Aid. Depending on how much you would prefer to spend, the quality of the mascara will differ. Oddly enough, people have better luck with inexpensive mascaras due to the fact that the formulas are manufactured for a wider audience.

To begin, we will take a look at the mascara with the highest expense. LancĂ´me’s Hypnose Star mascara (priced at $28.00 for a full size) can be purchased at Sephora, Macy’s, or through Lancome-USA.com. This particular mascara does a great job at both lengthening and defining eyelashes.

Next, we can look at Buxom Lash, which can be purchased at Sephora, Bare Escentuals, and both websites for $19.00. This mascara makes eyelashes appear thicker and darker, which is an essential look for most people.

Revlon’s Lash Potion Grow Luscious mascara varies from $8.00 to $9.00 at any drugstore.  This mascara in particular is great for building up and layering. It will bring a more dramatic and full look that can be good for both a day and night look.

Maybelline has come out with a mascara called the Rocket Volum’. It is one of my personal favorites and is excellent for bringing on volume. Eyelashes will look thicker and fuller for a more pulled together look. The mascara can be purchased at any drugstore for just $8.00.

Finally, there is a new brand on the drugstore makeup market called Essence. They have released one of their first mascaras and it is called the Multi Action mascara. Unfortunately, it is only available at Walgreens considering it is a new brand, but it is definitely worth looking for. It both lengthens and volumizes lashes, but can also be layers and built up to be used for a day or night look as well. This mascara varies from store to store, but averages on approximately $6.00. It is the least expensive product out of my favorites, but it’s one of the best.

Results may vary for all mascaras due to the fact that all eyelashes are different in the ways that they will react to certain products but for the most part, the products will give great results that will have you repurchasing the product for a long time.
