Fall Smokey Eye

There is no better way to express the fall season than with your appearance. By creating a smoky eyeshadow look that incorporates fall colors, you can achieve that seasonal feeling. Taking Selena Gomez's makeup at the 2012 Billboard Music Awards.

Directions:
1.       Begin prepping for eye look by applying a long lasting eye primer. Using your ring finger, apply the product all over the lid.
(Urban Decay Primer Potion – original)

2.       Next, using a flat shader brush, pick up a sparkly champagne tone eyeshadow and apply it to the inner half of the eyelid, avoiding the inner corner.
(Stila Eyeshadow Pot – Kitten)

3.       With a fluffy contouring brush, pick up a matte light brown shadow and sweep it inside the crease of your eye, avoiding the inner crease. Make sure to blend the product out.
(Too Faced – Velvet Revolver)

4.       With another contour brush, take a shimmery light brown shadow with a golden finish and begin to sweep that within the outer crease. Make sure to stay away from the inner half of your eye and try to create a sideways “V” with your shadow.
(Urban Decay – Sidecar)

5.       Then, take a matte brick color and bring that into a smaller portion of the outer crease. Be sure to blend the colors well to keep up the “smoky” effect.
(Urban Decay – Buck)

6.       Next, take a deep shimmering copper shadow with a red or brick colored tint and work that inside the outer crease as well, controlling it to a smaller area.
(Laura Mercier – Terracotta)

7.       Finish off your eyeshadow with a highlight. Apply this to the brow bone and inner corner of your eye using a small flat shader brush.
(Urban Decay – Virgin)

8.       Using preferably a pencil liner, draw a line on your upper lash line. It doesn’t matter if it is messy or not due to the fact that you will be blending it in so that it interacts with the smokiness of the look.
(Maybelline Define A Line – Black)

9.       Finally, using a volumizing and lengthening mascara, apply that to your lashes in two to three coats, depending on how dramatic you would like it. Considering it’s a more dramatic look in general, it is better to make them as full as possible.
