Miley Cyrus Inspired Makeup Look

In Miley Cyrus’s newest music videos, “We Can’t Stop” and “Wrecking Ball,” she wears the familiar, fairly natural eye look with long, spidery lashes and bold, red lips. Though the look seems to be simple, the main focus (the eyelashes) may take a little time depending on which approach you would like to take.

 

Directions:

1.      After you rid your face of all previous makeup, pick up a foundation that creates a natural glow. Pump the necessary amount you need onto the back of your hand and with a makeup sponge or blender, begin applying it to your face. Be sure to blend the product down to your neck to avoid any lines or streaks that could create a “mask” effect.

2.      Conceal. Miley’s skin doesn’t have any flaws in the music video so to continue on with the look, yours shouldn’t either. With an opaque concealer, apply it with a concealer brush to any spots that weren’t covered with your foundation. For instance, make sure your under eye circles are covered to keep up with a flawless finish.

3.      Apply a pressed powder all over your face with a fluffy brush to set the foundation, but don’t apply too much to avoid erasing the natural glow you’re trying to create.

4.      With a highlighter, apply it to your cheekbones to enhance the glow you’ve produced.

5.      With your ring finger, apply a champagne cream shadow to your lids. Feel free to add excess to the center of your lid for the illusion of bigger eyelids.

6.      Taking a fluffy contour brush, pick up a matte light brown color and begin lightly defining your crease. This step is essential to give the look more dimension. Focus the product towards the outer corner rather than the inner.

7.      Skip the eyeliner and go straight for the false lashes. Make sure to choose a pair that is spidery and long. Squeeze a fairly small amount of lash glue onto the lashes and allow it to dry with about thirty seconds. Carefully apply the lashes as close to the lashline as possible to keep the look as natural as possible. Before taking the next step, allow your lashes to dry completely.

8.      Carefully curl your lashes to begin bending them with your real ones, then pick up your favorite mascara and continue to apply that until your lashes look natural.

9.      Make sure you have applied some type of lip moisturizer so that you can jump right into the next step. Using a matte red lipstick, begin painting it over your lips gradually to avoid any mess ups.

10.  With a foundation or concealer brush, pick up the same matte powder you used on your face and trace the outline of your lips. This will get rid of any spots you have messed up.
